John C. Bernal has been in the field of laboratory animal medicine for 40 years with an emphasis in nonhuman primates. He has been fortunate to be a part of phenomenal teams and programs with multiple organizations representing academia, NHP importation, breeding and supply, preclinical CRO and National Primate Centers. John has leveraged his cumulative experience to develop a philosophy of behavioral management, based upon the science of behavior analysis techniques encompassing a systematic, scientific approach to the discovery and description of NHP behavior and the understanding and application in a research environment.
Handshouse Studio is a non-profit, innovative, educational organization that creates adventurous hands-on projects through community-service, building projects with non-profit partners around the world as a way to explore history, understand science, and perpetuate the arts.
Rick Brown is Co-Founder and President of Handshouse Studio, Inc. He is a Professor of Sculpture at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He received a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design, a Master of Fine Arts from Washington University School of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia.
Laura Brown is Co-founder and Director of Handshouse Studio, Inc. and faculty of sculpture at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She earned a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and a MFA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
